ABOUT TISAR
TISAR (Transmasculine initiative For Solidarity, Advocacy And Resistance) is a Transgender community-based organization and a pan-Bengal transmasculine collective working
across different districts in West Bengal, with a focus on North 24 Parganas. We have been working on rights, lives, and livelihoods of transgender,
gender-variant, and larger LGBTQ+ community individuals, with a
focus on transmasculine (FTM) populations.
VISION
Envisions a world where a thriving, inclusive transgender community is celebrated for its resilience and has equal access to opportunities, rights, and dignity.
OBJECTIVES OF TISAR
TISAR is dedicated to ensuring the well-being and survival of the transgender community, particularly during times of crisis. Recognizing the challenges faced by transgender individuals in accessing essential healthcare services, TISAR aims to arrange free COVID-19 vaccinations in collaboration with government and private hospitals. This initiative ensures that every transgender person, regardless of their socioeconomic status, receives life-saving protection against the pandemic.
Additionally, TISAR seeks to address the financial and food insecurity experienced by many within the community. By providing free ration kits, TISAR supports transgender individuals in meeting their basic needs, fostering dignity, and alleviating the hardships caused by economic instability.
Through these initiatives, TISAR strives to create an inclusive, compassionate, and resilient society where the transgender community receives equal access to healthcare and essential resources, empowering them to lead healthier and more secure lives.
