EVENTS 2022
Friendly Cricket Match for Mental Well-being
On 17th April 2022, TISAR organized a friendly cricket match between North 24 Parganas and South 24 Parganas. More than just a game, it was a way to bring joy, teamwork, and solidarity to our community members who were still recovering from the emotional and mental strain of the COVID-19 pandemic. The match helped many overcome isolation and reminded us of the healing power of togetherness.
Supporting Legal Recognition

In a historic step on 17th April 2022, TISAR became the first transmasculine organization in West Bengal to provide affidavits to 35 transmasculine individuals. These affidavits are crucial for obtaining the transgender certificate under the Transgender Protection Act, 2019. With this initiative, TISAR supported our brothers in affirming their identities with dignity and rightful recognition.
Ration Kit Distribution
In collaboration with Plexus Foundation, TISAR distributed ration kits to 60 trans brothers and sisters on 17th April 2022. For many, it meant more than just food—it was a gesture of care, solidarity, and the assurance that no one in our community would be left behind in times of struggle.
Employment Opportunities with Tata Steel
On 2nd July 2022, five trans brothers joined Tata Steel with guidance and support from TISAR. Their hard work and qualifications opened new doors, but what made the achievement special was seeing a reputed company embracing inclusivity. We are proud of their journey and hopeful that this milestone will inspire more workplaces to create safe opportunities for transgender individuals.

Performance at Kolkata Rainbow Pride Walk
On 18th December 2022, TISAR brothers presented a moving dance and drama performance at the Kolkata Rainbow Pride Walk. Through art, they shared the struggles, pain, and resilience of trans lives. The performance touched hearts, spread awareness, and became a powerful voice for acceptance and visibility.
TISAR Picnic 2022
On 25th December 2022, the year ended with laughter, food, and bonding at our community picnic. It was a day to refresh, heal, and welcome the new year with love, positivity, and the warmth of togetherness. For us, such simple gatherings strengthen our spirit of family and friendship.
Holi Celebration: Colours of the Rainbow
TISAR’s Holi celebration was filled with joy, colours, and pride. It symbolized inclusivity, unity, and mental well-being. With rainbow colours flying in the air, the event created a safe and festive space for transgender individuals to celebrate openly while connecting with mainstream society.
